Beida alumni investment club, a very informal get-together group, started its activity in March this year. The chief organizers are Zou Keshan, Peng Chenbin and Gu Liguang. So far two group meetings have taken place at Mr. Zou Keshan's residence. The club opens to all Beida alumni as well as anyone who has a strong interest in stock invesment. The club is still open to new members. For those who just learn about this club and want to join, please contact the above three persons about its future activity. Here are summaries of the past meetings April Meeting: "Stocks should be bought only on the way up" ------------------------------------------------------------ The first meeting was held in April with about 18-20 participants. Mr. Zou Keshan introduced his experience in mutual funds invesment, Peng Chenbin shared his experience in stock selection and investment. Gu Liguang, using his investment backgroud and experience, shared one of his key investment doctrines "Stocks should be bought only on the way up - not on the way down". All other participants such as Tian Hui and Lin Danzhi as well as many others shared their personal investment experiences. May Meeting: "Four stages in stock development" ------------------------------------------------ The second meeting took place in May. Peng chenbing guided the group discussion on internet invesment. Gu Liguang explained the four stages in a stock development. The introduction was supported with charts and detailed analysis. Those who have some stock trading and investment experiences gave high regard to this four stage analysis. Also every participant talked about the worst investment decisions and reasons behind those decisions. June Meeting: "Seven principles in stock investment" ---------------------------------------------------- The next meeting has been scheduled for June 13, Sunday evening at Mr. Zou Keshang's house. Keep to the left since you need to turn left onto Dulles (you will see a big Randall on your right, and an Exxon gas station on your left). you need pass 2 traffic lights on Dulles, then cross a little bridge. Just after you pass the bridge, you need to keep left and turn left into the subdivision (called Plantation Bend). At the first intersection, you need turn right onto Claire Circle.
